A person from our congregation at Belmont Assembly of God Chicago approached me about creating an identity for the counseling she would soon be offering as a paid service through the church. As a designer, I knew that we should attempt to be in keeping with the brand our church has established, so we began brainstorming and came up with "Navigational Counseling." This company name was a bit 'cheesy' but it definitely had a ring to it, and naturally our Lead Pastor LOVED that it went with our church's theme, "finding direction together." I used big bold fonts, varying between Montserrat and Adobe Caslon Pro to emphasize the purpose and professionalism Carol Urgo would bring to Belmont Assembly through her aid. The simplified but multifaceted icon of the North-pointing compass reestablishes the church brand and brings fresh light to its cause.
